Our cutting-edge Modular brand solutions are powering mines worldwide, driving efficiency and sustainability in ways that seemed impossible just years ago. Job Overview As an Engineering Technician II, you will own defined build and validation scope or subsystems within ruggedized hardware platforms and solutions. You will execute assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities with accountability, support integration efforts, and identify issues early to prevent downstream rework, working closely with engineering teams across disciplines. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy hands-on problem solving, taking ownership of hardware builds and test outcomes, and contributing directly to early system readiness through disciplined execution and practical insight. Key Job Responsibilities Owns subsystem-level hardware assembly, wiring, and build activities for ruggedized platforms. Executes test and validation procedures independently to verify subsystem functionality and performance. Identifies, analyzes, and communicates build, test, or integration issues early in the development lifecycle. Performs troubleshooting and rework across mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical subsystems. Sets up and maintains test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation to support validation activities. Maintains accurate build records, test results, and technical documentation in accordance with established processes. Collaborates closely with engineers and other technicians to support early integration, validation, and corrective actions. Required Skills Associate degree or technical degree in Electronics, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience. 4-8 years of relevant hands-on technical experience, including demonstrated ownership of subsystem-level assembly, testing, or troubleshooting activities. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems and common lab tools. Demonstrated ability to work independently within defined scope and drive tasks to completion with accountability. Up to ~15% travel, including system integration support, supplier interaction, prototype builds, or limited field validation. Desired Skills Experience owning subsystem-level hardware builds or validation activities. Hands-on troubleshooting experience with ruggedized or industrial hardware systems. Familiarity with test equipment, fixtures, and instrumentation setup. Ability to identify and mitigate build or test issues early in development. Comfort working cross-functionally and communicating technical findings clearly.
