Job Description

Job Title:
Tetra Pak VTIS Maintenance Specialist (California-Based - Aseptic Expertise Required) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tetra Pak VTIS Maintenance Specialist to join our clients team in Bakersfield California. This is a critical, high-priority role focused on aseptic processing and maintenance. Candidates must be willing to relocated or work in Bakersfield CA and possess hands-on expertise with Tetra Pak VTIS aseptic pasteurization machines. This is not a training role and is not open to general maintenance technicians or candidates without direct Tetra Pak VTIS experience. Key Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
Tetra Pak VTIS Expertise:
Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting Tetra Pak VTIS aseptic pasteurization machines.
Aseptic Processing Knowledge:
Strong understanding of aseptic systems, including sterile boundaries, aseptic holds, and VTIS sterilization cycles.
No Exceptions:
General pasteurization, dairy, beverage, or food manufacturing experience without Tetra Pak VTIS exposure does not qualify.
Responsibilities:
Independently operate, maintain, diagnose, and repair Tetra Pak VTIS aseptic pasteurization systems, including plate and tubular pasteurizers, steam-based thermal systems, and heat exchangers. Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on pumps, valves, batching systems, homogenizers, evaporators, and thermal control equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot AL safe aseptic tanks, including CIP/SIP sequences, pressure regulation, agitation, and sterile air/steam barriers. Collaborate with Automation and Controls teams to resolve PLC-related issues involving temperature regulation, product hold systems, and process instrumentation (e.g., RTDs, flow meters, pressure transmitters). Execute preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum uptime of critical aseptic equipment. Adhere to strict FDA, PMO, HACCP, and aseptic processing standards, ensuring precise documentation of all maintenance activities. Provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement and support mission-critical equipment with on-call availability to minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5
Years of Experience:
Hands-on experience in aseptic processing or advanced food and beverage manufacturing.
Tetra Pak VTIS Expertise:
Direct experience working on Tetra Pak VTIS aseptic pasteurization machines is mandatory.
PLC Knowledge:
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Rockwell PLC systems.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are essential.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work variable schedules, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
