The Engineering Technician II will provide hands-on technical support for the installation, maintenance, fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic, electrical, communications, telemetry, and related systems. This position works closely with engineers and technical teams to support system integration, testing, verification, maintenance activities, and engineering modifications in a fast-paced DoD environment.

Essential Functions:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, and test electronic, mechanical, communications, or telemetry systems. Perform system checkout, verification, validation, calibration, and certification activities. Fabricate and modify cable assemblies, wiring, and related hardware using engineering drawings and technical documentation. Assist with engineering change implementation, technical documentation updates, and maintenance procedures. Support engineers with installation, testing, troubleshooting, data collection, and system evaluations. Maintain project records, inventories, logs, and technical documentation. Operate electronic test equipment and hand tools safely and effectively. Lift up to 50 pounds and travel to customer sites as required. Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements Required:
Three (3) years of experience supporting electronic, electrical, mechanical, avionics, communications, telemetry, or related technical systems. Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and testing electronic or mechanical equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Experience using electronic test equipment and common hand tools. Ability to fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies and wiring systems. Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software applications. Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Desired:
Experience supporting U.S. Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or other Department of Defense programs. Experience supporting test and evaluation, instrumentation, or range operations environments. Familiarity with engineering change processes and configuration management. Experience supporting avionics, communications, telemetry, or instrumentation systems. Knowledge of RF systems, telemetry systems, RF signal distribution, telemetry data collection, and associated test equipment. Military technical training or prior military electronics experience. Years of Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required and three (3) years of relevant hands-on technical experience required. Vocational, technical, trade school, or equivalent military technical training preferred.
Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
