Main responsibilities:

Support the day to day operations of the Engineering and Maintenance Departments. Take responsibility for the proper and efficient operation of all electronic devices in the Plant. Support the milk and culture plant processing through a complete understanding of the Modicon PLC. Be the Lead in executing all Electronic troubleshooting and repairs. Be available off shift for Electronic support and troubleshooting. Develop and maintain a world class database of all plant PLC programs Monitor and ensure timely completion of all plant Electronic repairs and upgrades. Drive operational improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity by staying current in the field. Utilize Lean Manufacturing Concepts to maximize improvements. Develop a commitment that strives on continuous improvement, promotes trust, strengthens team work and does not stray from Safety or Quality. Develop an unwavering commitment to the Electrical Industry Code of Conduct and Ethics. Adheres to all Electrical Industry Wiring Standards; Local and State. Adheres to Union Bargaining Agreements Guidelines. We are looking for candidates who possess the following: 2 year College Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Equivalent Progressive Field Experience. 2 plus years in a food manufacturing/production or industrial environment. 5 plus years as a progressive PLC technician. Extensive experience across multiple PLC Platforms Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix Rockwell SLC500/MicroLogix Modicon Quantum Experience in programming HMI's. Rockwell PanelView/PanelView Plus Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE, Network Distributed Wonderware Intouch Must have the ability to install and upgrade operating systems. Experience in troubleshooting and programming VFD's. Preferably Allen Bradley. Thorough and extensive knowledge in electrical controls and drives. Must have the ability to electronically troubleshoot down to the board level. Must have extensive knowledge in Control Instrumentation using 4-20 ma. Knowledge in Electrical Codes and Ordinance a plus. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office PC programs.
