Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Technician III for a Contract with a client in Cupertino, CA. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience operating and aligning laser-based optical systems to support accurate optical characterization and validation testing.

Rate Range:
$55/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.Technician III Job Responsibilities include:
Set up, configure, and align prototype optical sensor modules, including optical, electrical, and network connections. Perform beam quality measurements using optical test equipment such as cameras, power meters, and integrating spheres. Conduct optical characterization testing, including SNR, spectral analysis, stability, and stray light measurements. Follow established SOPs and test procedures while operating measurement software and troubleshooting basic technical issues. Accurately document test results, track anomalies, and provide regular status updates to the engineering team. Collaborate with engineers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to prototype optical systems and test performance.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant hands-on experience. 2+ years of experience in an optical laboratory or photonics-focused environment. Hands-on experience operating and aligning laser-based optical systems, including the use of optical power meters and camera-based beam profiling tools. Experience performing optical characterization measurements such as wavelength, stability, spectral analysis, and SNR testing, with strong attention to detail in data collection and documentation.
