The Fiber Termination Technician is a position for a person with 2+ years of experience terminating fiber optic cables. The team member will work in a fiber shop environment assisting our fiber cable termination team.

Responsibilities:

Cut, Strip, & Measure fiber optic cables Install, crimp, polish

LC, SC, ST, FC, SMA, MPO/MTP

connectors, for both multi-mode and single-mode fiber. Terminate simplex and duplex patch cords. Terminate and breakout various types of Bulk Fiber Cables (Indoor, Outside Plant, Armored). Test Fiber Optic Cable using dB Loss Tester, JDSU Microscope Label cable ends with RLH standard labels.

Prepare Fiber Cable Test Reports Experience:

2 year minimum experience with fiber optic cable termination & testing Copper Coax and Power Cable (RJ45, BNC) experience a plus

Requirements:

A High School Diploma or GED Attention to detail Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors to adhere to industry standard color coding Excellent hand-eye coordination Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time Applicants require enough mobility to perform moderate or light lifting between 5-25 lbs. daily Basic Computers skills,
