Exercises a complete knowledge of plant maintenance theory, practice, and procedure relevant to the repair of facilities structures and support equipment. Determines methods and sequence of operations required to properly execute repair orders. Must adhere to applicable codes, laws, and insurance carrier requirements. Individual must be capable of working independently and able to work at various heights, operate and work from moving and/or telescoping boom vehicles and equipment as required, and clean and store equipment, tools, safety devices, protective clothing, etc. Basic Qualifications 3 years experience as a licensed plumber in an Industrial/Commercial setting. Experience with water/plumbing distribution systems (includes chilled water, heating/cooling systems, high pressure steam systems, condensate return systems, steam traps, and heat exchanger systems). Experience with trouble shooting and repairing infrastructure related subsystems (i.e. sanitation and potable water supply/systems). Experience with completing all facets of associated repair work (finishing) including wall and tile repairs, and painting as required to complete job. Maintains a neat and orderly shop, vehicle, and jobsite. Desired Skills Operate all plumbing tools and equipment (both power and hand) including pipe threader, drain snake, taps/dies, and emergency equipment and pumps as required. Prepares working and recording sketches as required, notes and materials needed. Orders appropriate materials as required. Water distribution (grade D1 or higher) Certification preferred but not required. Experience with underground utility distribution. State issued plumbing license highly preferred.
