Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, systems, and equipment using hand tools, surface mount technology, and soldering techniques. Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures to identify underlying issues and implement effective solutions. Read and interpret schematics, PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts, electrical drawings, and technical manuals using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks. Utilize testing instruments like ohmmeters to diagnose electrical problems accurately and efficiently. Develop project schedules for electrical upgrades or new installations while coordinating with other departments to meet deadlines. Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), scripting automation sequences in Python or other languages to optimize manufacturing processes. Support equipment repair activities by debugging electrical wiring issues and performing preventive maintenance on electrical systems. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical components into mechanical assemblies using CAD tools. Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety regulations during all tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in electrical or as an Electrical Technician within manufacturing or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, wiring diagrams, and schematic capture tools. Hands-on experience with soldering, surface mount technology (SMT), and assembly of electronic components on PCB boards. Familiarity with project scheduling software and techniques for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging of complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks for designing or interpreting electrical layouts. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and scripting languages like Python for automation purposes. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment assembly, repair, and integration of electrical systems into mechanical frameworks. Excellent hand tool skills for wiring, assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
