This is a hands-on technical role where you'll perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, test system functionality, and respond when issues arise. You don't need to come in knowing everything about GLSS—we'll provide on-the-job training. We're looking for someone who is mechanically and electrically inclined, enjoys solving problems, and is ready to learn in a highly technical environment. What You'll Take Ownership Of Perform routine maintenance on Gas Life Safety Systems according to company and manufacturer procedures Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults and alarms Test GLSS devices and verify system functionality Perform sensor changeouts, device calibrations, and functional testing Maintain accurate inventory and service records Support live system testing and permit inspections Respond to building alarms and evacuations as needed Provide supporting system data to ERT and EHS teams Maintain required onsite and TSS training and compliance
What You'll Bring Required:
High school diploma or GED Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting aptitude Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with the broader team Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills Ability to meet the physical and environmental requirements of the role Ability to pass a background check Nice to have, but not required: Understanding of low-voltage electrical controls PLC/HMI experience Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or semiconductor facilities Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access Perks, Pay, and Benefits Pay $21.00 - $28.00/HR Depending on experience Medical, vision, and dental insurance 401(k) plan with a company matching contribution Long-term disability, short-term disability, and life insurance Competitive Paid Time Off (PTO) and company paid holidays Your Day-to-Day Environment This is an onsite, hands-on role supporting semiconductor facilities in the Santa Clara/Sunnyvale area.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 10:30 AM-7:00 PM Some weekend work may be required Participate in an overnight on-call rotation (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) approximately one week per month Must live within approximately 45 minutes of Santa Clara/Sunnyvale Work takes place in both office and cleanroom/field environments Regularly work on your feet for extended periods Use and carry ladders up to 12 feet and work from elevated platforms up to 24 feet Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
