Job Title:
Electronics Technician Job Description The Electronics Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing gaming machines, electronic equipment, and related systems to ensure reliable operation and an exceptional guest experience. This role performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses technical issues, supports networking and player tracking systems, and ensures compliance with company standards and gaming regulations. Responsibilities Install, configure, test, maintain, and repair gaming machines and associated equipment. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues to minimize machine downtime. Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on gaming equipment. Replace and repair components including bill validators, ticket printers, LCD displays, power supplies, button panels, and circuit boards. Support player tracking systems, communication networks, and related gaming technology. Assist with software, firmware, and system updates on gaming equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation. Perform connectivity testing and basic network troubleshooting involving TCP/IP devices, routers, and communication systems. Ensure gaming devices operate in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and service requests. Work closely with vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California Gaming Card. Associate degree, technical certification, trade school training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. Experience with electronics, circuit boards, wiring, low-voltage systems, mechanical components, or equipment maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications A+, ETA, Network+, or similar technical certification. Experience with TCP/IP networking, routers, switches, wireless systems, or communication networks. Familiarity with gaming equipment, firmware updates, player tracking systems, and machine diagnostics. Experience replacing and repairing electronic components, peripherals, and machine hardware. Previous experience in gaming, entertainment, manufacturing, field service, or technical maintenance environments. Knowledge of gaming regulations and compliance standards. Work Environment The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on equipment for extended periods. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vallejo, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
