ISO 17025
accredited calibration lab in Thornton, Colorado and an authorized distributor of high quality industrial test equipment, specializing in new product sales and rentals. We are searching for a detail oriented, technical, positive-minded, and hard working individual to join us here at BHD Test and Measurement. An experienced commercial calibration technician is preferred, but we are willing to train.
Role:
As a Calibration Technician you will be working to calibrate and repair a wide variety of test equipment both in our lab and on customer's job sites. Responsibilities and Duties Calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, physical, dimensional, and/or mechanical test equipment. Create and verify calibration data sheets for technical content and accuracy based upon instruments specifications and approved calibration procedures. Professionally conduct onsite calibrations at a customer's location, typically locally but sometimes out of town. Complete work in a timely manner to ensure customer delivery expectations are met or exceeded. Work area tidiness and cleanliness on a daily basis. Functional test and inspection of rental equipment for proper operation, evidence of misuse/damage and missing accessories. Maintenance of calibration standards. Perform other laboratory support functions as required. Typical instruments we service and calibrate: Multimeters, insulation testers, low resistance ohmmeters, pressure gauges/calibrators, thermometers, thermal imagers, gas detectors, torques wrenches/analyzers, relay test sets, power supplies, hipots, transformer testers, spectrum analyzers, weights, scales, micrometers, calipers, indicators, and much more.
Qualifications:
Ideally 5+ years' experience as a commercial calibration technician, but we are willing to train. Detailed experience with quality management system
ISO 17025
is desirable. A practical understanding or familiarity with usage of machinists tools, hand tools, and meteorological devices. Organized, independent, self-motivated, forward thinker with the ability to solve problems. Must be proficient in using various types of computer software. Must be organized, able to work under deadline driven stress and manage competing priorities. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple projects. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MetTeam/MetCal experience would be an asset. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
