We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Material Scientist / Engineer to support our engineering team in the execution of a wide range of engineering and technical projects. This role requires a hands‑on individual with a foundational understanding of material science and engineering principles, a strong self‑learning initiative, and a willingness to contribute to scientific materials exploration, engineering development, and qualification tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their technical career to gain practical, hands‑on experience while working on meaningful projects in a supportive team environment. .Key Responsibilities Assist in the execution of engineering projects under the guidance of senior staff. Perform hands‑on tasks including wire and cable testing using various high‑voltage test and measurement equipment for material science investigations. Support qualification activities to ensure wire and cable products meet industry standards and internal specifications. Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications. Maintain accurate project documentation, including qualification records, technical reports, and project notes. Coordinate with internal engineering, production, and quality teams to meet project deadlines. Manage workload and time effectively while balancing multiple tasks and maintaining quality and accuracy. Qualifications Engineering or Material Science degree, or relevant experience in a related technical field; significant work experience in a cable testing or materials testing environment will be considered. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment and cables and working with tools in a laboratory environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CAD or other engineering software is a plus. Ability to learn and operate analytical equipment with training from existing staff. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Well‑organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Familiarity with electrical testing standards and procedures. Hands‑on experience in a laboratory, field, or manufacturing environment. Previous experience with wire and cable products.
