Electronics Technician Maintenance I Summit Skilled Solutions Eglin Air Force Base, FL Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance I to support mission-critical government operations at Eglin Air Force Base. This position is responsible for installing, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, testing, and maintaining a variety of electronic systems and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong electronic troubleshooting skills, experience working from schematics and technical manuals, and the ability to maintain reliable and operational electronic systems in a technical environment. This position is covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA). An additional $5.42 per hour, up to 40 hours per week, is provided for benefits and/or retirement. Electronics Technician Maintenance Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and electromechanical equipment using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. Install, modify, upgrade, and test electronic systems and components. Perform operational testing, calibration, alignment, and performance verification. Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and engineering documentation. Identify equipment failures and determine root causes to restore operational capability. Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and network analyzers. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, work orders, and technical documentation. Conduct system inspections to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and contractual requirements. Support equipment modernization and technology refresh initiatives. Coordinate with engineers, system operators, military personnel, and contractors to resolve technical issues. Assist with developing maintenance procedures and technical documentation. Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability. Maintain compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security requirements. Participate in emergency response and on-call maintenance activities as required. Support inventory management and accountability of tools, test equipment, repair parts, and government property. Electronics Technician Maintenance Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities . Qualified as defined by
EM 385-1-1 . OEM
trained and qualified on nurse call systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS) . Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of military training, vocational education, and relevant experience . 3-5 years of experience maintaining electronic systems in a military, government, industrial, or technical environment. Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Work Environment This position supports a mission-critical government facility and requires strict adherence to technical, safety, environmental, and security requirements. Candidates must be able to work independently while coordinating effectively with engineers, operators, contractors, and government personnel.
Pay:
