We are seeking skilled Automation Technicians to repair, maintain, and support computer-controlled systems used within the marine industry. This role focuses on reducing human intervention while maximizing operational efficiency and system reliability. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position offering a flexible schedule, health benefits, and paid vacation time. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design, install, and support electrical control and automation systems Program, configure, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) Diagnose and resolve electrical and control issues in automated systems Maintain and repair electrical equipment used in marine automation systems Perform electrical safety inspections and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards Support automation upgrades and system improvements as required Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Advanced analytical and technical problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment. Knowledge of marine engineering principles. Experience with Codesys. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automation Systems, or a related field required. Minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk and on a computer. Ability to lift 15 pounds as needed.
