Looking for a hands-on electronics fabricator, preferably an experienced electronics technician, microelectronics assembler, PCB rework technician, engineering technician, or highly skilled electronics fabricator interested in contributing to the development of an emerging plasma technology platform. The person should be comfortable working with engineers in a research and development environment. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience with precision electronic soldering and electronics assembly. Experience soldering small electronic components and working with PCBs. Ability to perform clean and reliable hand soldering using appropriate temperature control and soldering techniques. Experience with through-hole and surface-mount components. Ability to read basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings. Familiarity with multimeters and basic electronic diagnostic equipment. Good manual dexterity and ability to perform detailed work under magnification. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently while following engineering instructions and safety procedures. Experience in one or more of the following areas is particularly desirable: Fine-pitch SMD/SMT soldering and rework. Microelectronics assembly under a microscope or magnifying system. PCB prototyping, modification, and repair. Wire harness and connector fabrication. Low-voltage and high-voltage electronic systems. Power electronics, transformers, power supplies, or pulse-generation circuits. Prototype or research laboratory electronics fabrication. IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or equivalent electronics workmanship standards. ESD-safe handling of sensitive electronic components.
Pay:
$24.44 - $29.43 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
