Full Job Description Description:
This position is responsible for inspection, cleaning, and loading precision optics prior to the optical coating deposition process. The Optics Loading Technician works with many different shapes and sizes of optical components requiring various processes to handle carefully, complete surface inspection, and clean to prepare for coating. Teamwork and communication is essential as they work closely with coating technicians and engineers to fill capacity 24/5 within 10 chambers. Partners with technical resources, engineering, and team lead to develop processes and receive instructions for proper standard procedures.
Requirements:
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Effective member in a team environment Excellent communication skills Fluent in English Meticulous attention detail to ensure product conformance. Good manual dexterity for safe handling of precision components. Patience in working with delicate components. Ability to perform detail inspections using high intensity lighting, low intensity lighting. Good vision (with or without glasses) Mechanical ability to facilitate handling of precision tooling assembly Stand/or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 25lbs Ability to work in cleanroom environment: Wear cleanroom grabs/latex gloves, work with typical cleaning chemicals Proficient in basic computer skills Special Skills Knowledge of precision optics manufacturing and cleaning techniques Proactive approach to defining problems and implementing solutions Good writing skills for reporting and documentation Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Working knowledge of military specifications for optical products Ability to assist in developing new processes in an abbreviated time frame Knowledge of optical inspection, measurement, and verification equipment Experience using profilometers, interferometers, calipers, microscopes, measurescopes, drop gauges
