Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician for a Contract job with a client in Palm Bay, FL . The ideal candidate will have experience supporting electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and test systems , along with strong troubleshooting, calibration, and equipment maintenance skills.
Rate Range:
$30/hour to $34/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Construct, troubleshoot, test, calibrate, diagnose, adjust, and maintain electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and optical systems, assemblies, and equipment to support engineering and operational requirements. Assist with the design, assembly, setup, validation, and checkout of test equipment used for development, production, and qualification activities. Perform testing and verification activities by following engineering drawings, schematics, operating manuals, technical specifications, and verbal or written instructions. Operate laboratory equipment, automated systems, test stations, and computer-controlled equipment while collecting, documenting, and reporting test data in required formats. Conduct equipment calibration, alignment checks, modifications, repairs, adjustments, and component replacements to ensure system performance and reliability.
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six years of relevant technical experience, or an Associate Degree with at least two years of related engineering technician experience. Strong experience supporting electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, testing, laboratory, manufacturing, or engineering environments. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, technical manuals, repair documentation, and operational procedures. Experience performing equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, calibration, maintenance, repair, testing, and validation activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose issues and implement effective technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics, manufacturing, telecommunications, or advanced technology industries. Familiarity with automated test equipment, laboratory instrumentation, computer-controlled systems, and engineering support tools. Experience performing equipment alignment, system verification, data collection, technical reporting, and preventive maintenance activities.
