Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant/ Laser Technician to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care within a fast-paced dermatology practice that emphasizes aesthetic treatments and medical dermatology. Your expertise will support patient intake, scribing, assisting with biopsies, patient procedures, and surgeries, assist with laser therapies, and ensure smooth clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical skills with advanced laser technology, contributing to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction. Responsibilities Prepare patients for dermatological examinations and laser procedures by explaining processes, obtaining consent, and ensuring comfort. Assist dermatologists with clinical tasks including recording medical histories, and documenting patient information accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Assist in biopsies, surgeries, and laser treatments and other aesthetic procedures following established safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Manage patient intake, schedule appointments, and coordinate follow-up care to optimize clinic flow and patient experience. Support medical office management by maintaining accurate medical records, handling inventory of supplies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient settings with a strong foundation in medical assisting and clinical support. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and record management. Familiarity with laser technology, aesthetic procedures, and related safety protocols is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent patient service while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Strong organizational skills with experience in medical office management and outpatient care workflows. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment that may include hospital trauma center experience or emergency medicine background is advantageous. Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
