Job Description

Full Time Make Ready/Turn Technician The Calhoun Housing Authority is seeking a self-motivated, responsible individual with a high customer service standards and strong work ethic for a Full Time Make Ready/Apartment Turn Technician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Make Ready/Apartment Turn Technician prepares recently vacated apartment home for occupancy. In addition to other duties as assigned, the Make Ready/Apartment Turn Technician will perform the following duties: Trash out recently vacated apartments, change locks, appliance installation repair/maintenance (including but not limited to refrigerator, stove/range (gas and electric), microwave, install appliances including by not limited to refrigerators, stove/range (gas and electric), ( microwave ), interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, minor carpentry, preventive Maintenance (filter changes, systems serving, etc.), minor HVAC maintenance/repair, electrical maintenance/repair, plumbing maintenance/repair, computerized work order entry and after hours/emergency maintenance. On-call (Emergency/After Hours) required (rotating schedule). Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Specific vision abilities include close, distant, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers; ability to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Additional Qualifications Including but not limited to: Minimum 2 years' experience in apartment maintenance or related field Ability to perform in a busy, multi-tasking work environment Valid driver's license Additional information Pay range $17.00 - $21.00 per hour based on experience.
