Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on VFD Specialist to diagnose, repair, and test variable frequency drives (VFDs), AC/DC drives, and related industrial control equipment . The role requires strong component-level troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced repair facility, including rush-service situations. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and test VFDs, AC/DC drives, and industrial control equipment . Perform repairs down to the component level . Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation . Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic/test equipment . Accurately document repair findings, testing, and completed work. Follow company procedures and electrical safety/lockout-tagout (LOTO) requirements. Manage multiple repairs and meet deadlines, including rush-service requirements . Support process improvements within the repair facility. Work with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Required Qualifications Prior experience in industrial automation, electronics repair, VFD/drives repair, or a related technical field . Strong hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing AC/DC drives and industrial controls . Ability to perform component-level electronic troubleshooting and repair . Strong understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Proficiency with electronic diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes . Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. Knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO procedures . Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation. Ability to work full-time on-site in Dawsonville, GA . Technical/vocational education, Associate Degree in electronics/industrial technology, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred. Experience with obsolete/legacy industrial equipment is a plus.
