Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment using precision measuring instruments and schematics. Troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulic circuits, pneumatic systems, and mechanical components utilizing electrical blueprints, schematics, multimeters (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter), and other diagnostic tools. Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on industrial machinery, including electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Repair and maintain HVAC/R systems, including the use of HVAC-specific tools like scissor lifts for access. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track equipment history, and schedule maintenance tasks efficiently. Operate welding equipment such as stick welders for fabrication or repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Troubleshoot complex equipment issues involving hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, or mechanical failures to minimize downtime. Support engineering troubleshooting efforts by analyzing schematics and system diagrams to identify root causes of malfunctions. Assist with technical sales support by providing insights into equipment capabilities or repairs when interacting with vendors or clients. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures related to electrical work, welding, working at heights, and heavy machinery operation. Qualifications Proven experience in a manufacturing facility setting with hands-on knowledge of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices. Strong understanding of electrical systems including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, electrical troubleshooting, and use of diagnostic tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting along with the ability to read related schematics. Skilled in welding techniques such as stick welding with the ability to fabricate or repair metal components as needed. Familiarity with HVAC/R systems maintenance including the use of scissor lifts for access is highly desirable. Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is preferred. Ability to operate industrial equipment such as forklifts or scissor lifts safely when required. Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation to effectively communicate technical information.
