An Electronics Technician helps engineers design and develop electrical and electronic equipment. Assists with diagrams and specifications for design, construction of product prototypes, testing and calibration, technical problem solving, equipment repair and maintenance while ensuring regulatory safety standards are met.

Include:
Diagnoses problems, performs repair and other forms of maintenance of complex electronic equipment and instruments such as oscilloscopes, meters, generators, counters, analog computers and specialized instrumentation equipment. Calibrates and adjusts electronic equipment to ensure optimum performance. Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a two-year resident electronic school and three years of experience in electronics construction and repair work, or Any combination of training and experience from which comparable knowledge and ability can be acquired.
Special Qualifications:
Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to meet and maintain UI Driving Policy.
Desired Qualifications:
NICET certification State Alarm Installers License (Iowa) Effective communication skills Ability to prioritize and organize tasks
