As an MTC Shift Equipment Technician, you will support the Mask Technology Center by monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will work closely with production teams, sustaining groups, engineers, and equipment vendors to improve tool performance, ensure product quality, and promote ongoing improvement. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a proactive problem-solving approach, and dedication to safety, quality, and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
Monitor, maintain, and improve clean room manufacturing equipment sets to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and manufacturing performance. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment repairs while minimizing production impact. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, vacuum, software, and process-related equipment issues using data-driven problem-solving techniques. Collaborate with production, sustaining teams, engineers, and vendors to resolve tool issues and improve equipment performance. Conduct post-maintenance qualifications and verify equipment readiness to meet contamination, quality, and production requirements. Maintain accurate documentation, equipment status updates, maintenance records, and shift pass-down communication in applicable systems. Promote continuous progress activities aimed at safety, quality, defect reduction, tool availability, and operational efficiency. Support equipment installations, engineering evaluations, process improvements, and special projects while mentoring and sharing technical knowledge with team members.Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or relevant military/technical background. Experience troubleshooting automated semiconductor clean room manufacturing equipment. Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, electronic components, and mechanical systems troubleshooting. Ability to read, interpret, create, and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and equipment drawings. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving talents with the capability to operate independently in a high-speed environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting automated photomask vacuum-based processing equipment. Knowledge of SPC principles, data analysis, and equipment performance monitoring tools. Experience using equipment tracking, manufacturing execution, and maintenance management systems. Familiarity with semiconductor process flows and photomask or wafer manufacturing operations. Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects, mentoring technicians, and applying AI-enabled tools that improve troubleshooting efficiency.
