Bernina is the premier sewing machine company worldwide. Our service center supports our customers nationwide with the finest service and machine repair. This is a career oriented, full time role working onsite at our U.S. headquarters in Aurora, IL. Pay $22 to $28 per hour with full benefits. Job Summary The service technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of sewing, quilting and embroidery machines. Troubleshoots problems and provides repairs in a professional and timely manner. Performs adjustments to factory specifications. Essential Functions Diagnose problems with company products. Make adjustments or repairs. Troubleshoot electronics and various circuit boards. Follow all manufacturer's protocols. Record and report on quality issues and trends. Competencies Customer focus and service attitude. Strong communication skills. Mechanically inclined, skilled in the use of hand and power tools and test equipment. Ability to interpret exploded blueprints of machines, to interpret instructions, plans, schematics and diagrams and to use tools to assemble equipment. Hands on small parts mechanical and electronic repair experience. Basic computer skills. Required Education and Experience Two or more years' work experience with electromechanical machine repair and/or maintenance. Preferred Education and Experience Certification in mechanical and/or electronic repair. Eperience with sewing machine repair preferred. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
