Job Description

The Resident Automation Technician Lead supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset and a proactive approach to improve the site's performance through trouble-shooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer sites, the Resident Automation Technician III must represent the company's image and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained. Aurora, IL Shift:
Friday-Monday ; 5:30 am - 4:30 am Standardized Tasks & Responsibilities Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible. Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned. Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment onsite, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems. Lead maintenance efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues requiring in-depth technical knowledge. Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations. Collaborate with the broader company Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned. Requirements Profile Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, or related environments. Demonstrated knowledge of electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems. Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and/or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) experience. Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics.
