Job Description

Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist — Berwyn, IL Picture your day starting with a quick walk-through of our Berwyn, IL facility. You review overnight logs, prioritize a couple of preventive checks, and then jump in to fine-tune a conveyor alignment before it slows production. An alert comes in—an unexpected equipment fault. You diagnose the issue fast, swap a component, verify performance on the PLC, and log the repair so the team can learn from it. By afternoon, you're collaborating with peers on a small upgrade that will make the line safer and more efficient. What you'll handle Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and building systems. Inspect equipment proactively to catch wear, misalignment, or performance drift early. Respond quickly to work orders and urgent breakdowns to minimize downtime. Document activities, parts used, root causes, and follow-ups with precision. Partner with teammates to streamline processes and strengthen facility reliability. Adhere to safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements. Support installs and startups of new equipment and systems when needed. What you bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational credentials are a plus. Hands-on experience in a maintenance technician or closely related role. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment. Sharp problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail. Clear communicator and reliable team contributor. Flexibility to work varied hours; availability on some weekends/holidays as required.
