Analysis Technician Location:
Elgin, IL 60124
USA Pay Rate:
$27/hr. on W2
Shift:
2nd Shift — 2:45 PM to 11:00
PM Work Arrangement:
100%
Onsite Duration:
Immediate start through the end of 2026, with possible extension
Interview:
30-minute virtual Google Meet or onsite Job Summary We are looking for an Analysis Technician to troubleshoot and analyze failed electronic boards used in 2-way radios . The technician will use electronic and RF test equipment to find problems, identify the root cause of failures, and document the results. Responsibilities Test and troubleshoot failed electronic boards and assemblies. Identify the cause of electronic and RF failures. Use equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and audio/modulation analyzers . Read and understand electronic schematics. Perform board-level and component-level troubleshooting. Determine whether failures are caused by a vendor or manufacturing/process issue . Document test results and prepare failure-analysis reports. Clearly communicate troubleshooting results and recommended corrective actions. Work independently and support factory operations when needed, including occasional weekends. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field. 1-3 years of electronics/RF troubleshooting experience . Hands-on experience working with electronic boards, PCBs, or assemblies . Knowledge of RF/electronics testing . Experience using electronic test equipment. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read electronic schematics is preferred. 2-way radio experience is a plus. Must be comfortable working 100% onsite . Physical Requirements Able to lift up to 35 lbs. independently . Able to lift 50+ lbs. with a team . Steel-toe boots are required.
Pay:
