You will leverage your technical expertise in CNC programming and machine maintenance to ensure optimal throughput and superior quality standards across a variety of industrial projects. Responsibilities Configure and operate CNC laser systems to process aluminum, mild steel, and coated materials with high accuracy. Interpret complex blueprints and utilize shop mathematics to ensure parts meet exact design specifications. Perform routine calibration, including lens cleaning, beam focusing, and nozzle alignment, to maintain peak equipment performance. Execute first-article inspections using precision measurement tools like micrometers and calipers to verify dimensional integrity. Collaborate with the engineering team to refine program settings for diverse material types and thicknesses. Maintain a safe, organized workspace by adhering to all safety protocols and conducting daily machine health checks. Mentor junior team members on advanced laser operation techniques and machine troubleshooting. Qualifications Required Skills 1-5 years of hands-on experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CNC programming, machine setup, and operation. Strong command of hand metrology tools and precision measurement techniques. Ability to stand for extended shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Skills Experience with CNC machine repair and geometric alignment. Background in manual machining or related metal fabrication processes. Demonstrated ability to manage material inventory and monitor consumable stock levels. Strong verbal communication skills for effective coordination with production teams.
