Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical expertise, with experience in industrial maintenance, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex machinery, and ensuring optimal operation of equipment to support manufacturing processes. Candidates with a background in mechanical maintenance work, schematics reading, and field service are highly valued. Fluency in English and excellent analysis skills are essential for success in this position. Schedule Monday to Friday weekends as needed Over night shift but the times are flexible Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams to diagnose issues effectively. Apply strong troubleshooting methodologies to identify root cause failures, minimize downtime, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Provide hands-on technical support during difficult breakdowns and mentor technicians on best practices and proper troubleshooting techniques. Not a must but would be good to know how to program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure automation systems operate efficiently. Communicate directly with OEMs and equipment vendors for technical support, documentation review, parts identification, and guidance during complex machine repairs. Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, and maintenance process enhancements. Maintain compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage. Provide technical support for customer service or field service operations when required. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company policies . Qualifications Minimum of 6 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred experience with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment , including material handling systems temperature controllers, and automation/robotics. Requirements Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using diagnostic tools and technical schematics. Familiarity with hydraulics, schematics reading, and precision measuring instruments. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software. Ability to operate industrial equipment safely. Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems; ability to work with ammeters and ohmmeters effectively. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery efficiently. Strong customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external clients. Good communication skills in English; ability to read technical schematics and manuals thoroughly. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
