Job Description

Rolando's Collision Center - Elk Grove Village, IL $38-$53 per hour | Full-Time I-CAR Gold Class | OEM Certified Collision Repair Facility Rolando's Collision Center is looking for an experienced Collision Body Technician to join our growing team. We're a family-owned shop building a small, highly skilled collision team where quality matters and every person has an important role. If you take pride in your work, understand modern collision repair, and want to work in a shop that gives you the equipment, information, and support to repair vehicles correctly, we'd like to meet you.
WHY ROLANDO'S?
This is an hourly position—not flat rate. We believe quality collision repair should be done correctly, not rushed simply to generate flag hours. We also believe good technicians should be able to spend their time repairing vehicles—not chasing parts, waiting on supplements, or working from an incomplete repair plan. Our shop operates with a blueprint-first repair process designed to identify the complete repair before production begins, source the necessary parts, research OEM procedures, and give our technicians a clear repair plan. You'll be working in an I-CAR Gold Class and OEM Certified collision repair facility with modern equipment, including Spanesi structural and electronic measuring equipment, professional welding equipment, and access to the information necessary to perform repairs according to OEM procedures. Most importantly, you won't be just another technician in a huge production shop. We're building a small, strong team where your experience, workmanship, ideas, and ability to help the team succeed matter.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an experienced technician who is comfortable performing everything from light collision repair to moderate and structural repairs. The right candidate should have experience with: Light, moderate, and structural collision repair Frame and structural repair Electronic/3D measuring systems Frame pulling and structural straightening MIG/MAG welding Modern steel, HSS, and UHSS repair procedures Welded panel and structural component replacement OEM repair procedures and specifications Proper weld preparation, sectioning, and corrosion protection Vehicle disassembly and reassembly Working from a complete blueprint/repair plan Measuring and verifying structural repairs before, during, and after the repair Experience with Spanesi equipment is a plus, but experience with comparable modern frame and measuring systems is welcome.
THE TECHNICIAN WE WANT
You understand that structural repair isn't about simply making something "look straight." You know how to measure it, document it, repair it to specification, and verify it when you're finished. You take ownership of your work, communicate with the team, care about quality, and want to continue developing your skills as vehicle technology and repair procedures change. If you can handle a light hit one day and a structural repair the next—and want to be part of a shop where your work has a real impact—we want to talk to you.
PAY & BENEFITS
$38-$53 per hour | Full-Time This is an hourly position, not flat rate. Hourly rate is based on experience, skill level, structural repair capabilities, welding and measuring experience, and overall ability. At 40 hours per week, this range represents approximately $80,000-$110,000 annually before overtime , depending on experience and skill level.
Benefits include:
