at Hilti North America in Elmhurst, Illinois, United States Job Description Restoring Hilti tools to peak performance with speed, precision, and a commitment to excellence. In a timely and efficient manner, perform duties required to maintain a quality service outlet for the repair of Hilti equipment and maximize productivity within Repair Operations while delivering high quality, timely repairs of Hilti tools and enhancing the value-added image associated with owning a Hilti tool. Also, it contributes to the Company's financial success through Cost of Goods Sold control, process improvement, and cost containment throughout the repair process. The Tool Service Technician provides best-in-class tool repair service in support of Hilti's Lifetime Service value proposition. What You'll do Analyzing, repairing, testing Hilti power tools in line with global repair standards and workflow standards. Work in and actively participate in a LEAN environment, work efficiently and contribute to continuous improvement & 5S. Sustain a passion for the customer as a trigger to drive service levels and repair quality to maintain Hilti's brand. Maintains superior technical knowledge and skills through reviewing on-line repair manuals, schematics, and technical files. Follow global repair standards at the work bench using. Performs efficient, high-quality repairs to Hilti products through proper problem diagnosis and application of prescribed corrective measures while utilizing appropriate tools and systems. Conducts final functional and safety testing after every repair to ensure customer safety. Through continuous inventory, accurate picking of spare parts and assisting in maintaining adequate parts inventory. Diagnosing tools using software and touch screen monitors. Provides data and information to Hilti quality engineers at are used to identify potential improvements to the overall quality and safety of Hilti tools. Maintains work areas, tools, and assigned equipment in a proper, organized order thus enabling the incumbent to perform the job in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. Follow company policies, procedures, and rules. Follow and abide by the company's culture, values, and principles. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. What You'll Bring High School Diploma required. Problem solving skills required. Time management skills. Team player. Experience in mechanical or electrical repairs. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skills sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for this particular job posting. Please be advised that a different location may result in a different range. At Hilti, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22.00 to $24.00/hr with bonus at target of $1,100 - $1,300.
