Automation Technician

Staff Management | SMX Automation Technician Description We are seeking an Automation Technician to support, maintain, and optimize all robotics and automation equipment within our manufacturing facility. This role includes setup, troubleshooting, repair, training, and continuous improvement activities to ensure high-quality production and equipment performance.

Pay:

$31/hour + 5% shift premium

Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 PM-7:00 AM Perks & Benefits Medical / Dental Insurance 401k Paid Time Off $31.00 - $32.55 / Hour Employment Type & Shifts Full Time Direct Hire 2nd Shift 3rd Shift Job Responsibilities Set up all robotics and automation equipment, including fixtures, conveyors, grippers, pin stampers, and brush systems. Perform temporary and full inspection approvals before production runs. Monitor production for proper setup, part quality, and downtime prevention. Troubleshoot and repair automation components (rails, sensors, grippers, belts, actuators, rollers). Optimize automation applications and recommend new technologies. Assist with new processes, sampling, data collection, PMs, and recordkeeping. Train and support employees using robotic systems. Participate in team-based problem solving and continuous improvement. Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean work area. Work from instructions, prints, and process specifications with accountability for equipment Experience with robotics setup, troubleshooting, and repair Strong problem-solving and technical skills Associate Requirements HS Diploma or GED Background Check Able to Lift 50 pounds Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $31.00 - $32.55 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
