Automated Manufacturing Role Summary Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic manufacturing equipment. Working under general supervision, this technician plans, sequences, assembles, troubleshoots, and repairs automation equipment using verbal instructions, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation. ️ Qualifications & Skills 1-2+ years troubleshooting and repairing automated production equipment Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or similar field preferred; equivalent technical training/experience considered PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required Understanding of ladder logic Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting ability Experience with robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated machinery Ability to use advanced trade mathematics, technical specifications, and complex drawings Experience using precision measuring instruments Ability to work independently and use sound judgment when troubleshooting complex equipment Position Structure Reports to production/operations management This position does not directly manage employees Works closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision 401(k) Employee Stock Purchase Plan Paid Time Off 11 company-paid holidays 4 weeks paid parental leave Training and advancement opportunities Text "Automation Tech" to 847-576-4085 to apply or request more information!

$40,000 - $95,000 per year shift: Third work hours: 6:30 PM - 7 AM education: Associate Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot automated assembly and robotic equipment Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs Perform equipment failure analysis and scheduled preventative maintenance Program and troubleshoot PLCs and ladder logic Create new robot programs and edit existing programs Read and develop mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical schematics Set up manual and semi-automatic assembly lines and support pre-production runs Assist with installation and relocation of automated equipment Update equipment manuals, programs, and technical documentation Maintain accurate reports of repairs and equipment activities Use precision measuring and diagnostic instruments Identify machine improvement opportunities and provide feedback to Engineering Follow all company safety and quality procedures Perform additional technical duties as assigned The essential functions of this role include: working in a smoke free environment wearing steel toe shoes working in a non-temperature controlled environment manual lifting up to 10lbs standing for 10 hours at one time working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week Skills PLC Programming PLC Troubleshoot Ladder Logic Industrial Automation Robotics Robot Programming Qualifications Years of experience: 2 years Experience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
