The Service Shop Technician is responsible for repair and maintenance of customer's small power tools/equipment. The Service Shop Technician must identify mechanical, electrical, and fuel system problems and make necessary repairs. Service Shop Technician is responsible to provide the highest level of customer service and the highest quality of service work possible. Basic mechanic knowledge, computer knowledge including Excel and Word. Silver Stihl Certified.
Hourly Pay Range:
$17.00-19.00 (Depending on Experience)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform service to power equipment including mowers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, blowers, generates and pumps in timely and efficient manner. Clearly explain diagnosis and required repairs to customers including warranty claims. Perform routine engine maintenance such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs. Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts. Adjust components according to specifications. Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts. Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs. Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used. Process orders in compliance with all requirements. Must be able to perform in a productive and positive manner in high stress and fast paced work environment with minimal supervision. Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain proper certifications that may be required. Loading and unloading equipment, machine assembly, and installation of equipment. Perform on-site evaluations and equipment demos. Willing to travel for trade shows and training opportunities. Must represent Runnings in a professional and positive manner. Operate equipment such as forklifts, delivery truck, etc. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
