POSITION SUMMARY
The instrument technician-Surgery will be responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department. They will coordinate/communicate daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders. Must be competent in proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation. Must be proficient and responsible for all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, as well and handling Biologic Indicator testing as needed. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent communication skills Excellent prioritization/organization skills Basic knowledge reading computer printouts and working from task list.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Exerience:
Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization 1 year experience in a Sterile Processing Department. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
