This position Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, and tests pumps and associated equipment in a shop environment. Works as part of a team to ensure high-quality repairs, accurate documentation, and timely turnaround of customer equipment. Duties/Job Responsibilities Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and rebuild pumps from a variety of manufacturers Repair and replace mechanical components including bearings, seals, impellers, shafts, wear rings, and other pump components Perform shop testing and verification of repaired equipment Clean, prepare, and organize incoming and outgoing equipment Document repair findings and complete repair reports Assist with inventory management and identification of replacement parts Operate shop equipment and tools safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized work area Work as a team with coworkers in the Service Department Occasional assistance with field service activities as needed Other duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities Ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble pumps from multiple manufacturers Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of rotating equipment Ability to identify worn or damaged components and recommend repairs Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and shop equipment Ability to read and understand repair manuals, parts breakdowns, and technical documentation Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship and safe work practices Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals Job Type Full-time Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Education and experience will be considered. Mechanical repair experience in a working environment Experience with pumps, motors, bearings, seals, or rotating equipment preferred Valve and motor experience a plus Industrial maintenance experience a plus Welding or machining experience a plus Physical Requirements Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and work with equipment for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to move and position equipment using shop lifting devices and material handling equipment Work Environment Approximately 90% of time spent in the repair shop Approximately 5% of time spent assisting with equipment testing or loading/unloading Approximately 5% of time spent completing documentation and administrative tasks Minimal travel required No regular on-call responsibilities Frequent exposure to tools, machinery, oil, grease, dirt, and mechanical equipment PPE required Additional Qualifications Self-motivated and dependable Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pride in producing high-quality repairs Good organizational and time management skills
Pay:
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
