Job Overview Techcom LLC is looking for an Assistant Splicing Manager to support the coordination and daily management of fiber optic splicing operations. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on splicing experience who is ready to move into a more coordination- and management-focused role. The position offers strong career growth opportunities within Techcom's expanding operations. Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily coordination of fiber optic splicing crews and projects
  • Review blueprints, fiber plans, and construction documentation
  • Track project progress, schedules, and completed work
  • Coordinate with field crews, project managers, and other departments
  • Assist with resolving field and project-related issues
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reports
  • Support quality control and ensure work meets project requirements Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of fiber optic splicing experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and fiber plans
  • Good understanding of fiber optic splicing and testing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Intermediate English required
  • Ability to communicate in Russian or Ukrainian is an advantage due to regular coordination with multilingual field teams
  • Comfortable working with computers and project documentation
  • Ability to work full-time from the office in Illinois Compensation
  • $1,500/week during the initial 3-month engagement period
  • $2,000/week after successful completion of the initial period
  • 1099 independent contractor
