Job Description
I Job Description Instrumentation/Electrical Technician Location of the job: Hammond IN (Unionized)
Rotating Shift Hours:
(1st week) 7:00 am- 3:15 pm (2nd week) 3:00 pm
- 11:15 (3rd week) 11:00 pm
- 7:15 am Base Pay Rate
- $44.75 (with increases after completion of training/probationary periods to $49.64)
Weekly Pay Periods Benefit Overview:

Maintenance disciplines working knowledge:
instrumentation, electrical power, electrical control, drives, variable frequency drives, PLC, high voltage systems Extensive controls, PLC and automation knowledge and experience. Working knowledge of mechanical systems is a plus. Strong troubleshooting skills. Proficiency using multimeters, amp probes, meggers and electrical schematics. Ability to display manual dexterity and perform physical job requirements. Understand and follow GMP/Plant Hygiene and safety guidelines. Knowledge of hand and power tools and shop equipment. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Basic personal computer knowledge and aptitude to learn software programs. Complete understanding of safety procedures with strong verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to work in a team/group. Ability to work under minimal direction, initiate, resolve and monitor problems, and provide guidance for other crafts in areas of proficiency and maintenance disciplines. Experience in Instrumentation, Electrical Power, Electrical Control, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and PLCs.
