INTRODUCTION TO AM GENERAL AM

We are R esponsive We have I ntegrity We are D ynamic We exhibit E xcellence Seeking a skilled Journeyman Tool & Diemaker in the position of a Calibration Technician to support production and quality operations through calibration, inspection, and fabrication of gauges, fixtures, and measuring equipment. This role requires experience using precision measurement tools and calibration systems, maintaining accurate electronic and paper records, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with blueprint specifications and quality standards. Requirements & Skills Journeyman Tool & Diemaker card, or proof of completion of Tool & Diemaker apprenticeship, or 8+ years' experience in the Tool & Diemaker trade that can be validated with prior employers via notarized letter. Must be proficient in the basic use of computers and business software programs, such as MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint), and Gauge Track. Must have good communication skills to test, certify and train. Must have previous experience in various types of manufacturing measurement devices Must have experience with written and system record keeping skills Primary Duties Check all gauges, fixtures and measuring equipment to blueprint dimensions or applicable specifications. Gauges consist of thread plugs, snap and ring gauges, micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, height gauges, torque wrenches, etc. Will operate various types of measurement / calibration devices, including Faro Arm, micrometers, calipers, scales, electrical testers, torque equipment, etc. Will make gauges, templates, and fixtures to use for production and inspection, such as making a set-up for drilling missing holes, slots, etc. Will maintain paper and electronic gauge calibration system and records. Will be required to use computers and business software programs, such as MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint), and Gauge Track. Will certify team members for proper torque wrench usage - Must provide testing Will assist in both internal and external audits of the calibration system.
