Job Purpose:
The Laser Etch Operator at
PRECISION MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES
is responsible for operating laser etching equipment to produce high-quality, precise markings on medical devices and components. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products meet stringent industry standards and customer specifications, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our company in the medical technology sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate laser etching machines according to established procedures and specifications. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine the appropriate settings and adjustments for each job. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy and quality of etched components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, maintenance logs, and quality inspection results. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that may arise. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in laser etching operations.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications in laser technology or manufacturing processes are preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating laser etching machines, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment. Proven track record of maintaining precision and quality in laser etching tasks. Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of laser etching processes and equipment maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laser etching machines. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to follow strict safety protocols and quality standards in a regulated industry.
