About the Role As a Senior Industrial Automation Technician, you will serve as a key technical authority responsible for the uptime and performance of complex automated machinery. Responsibilities Execute advanced diagnostics on automated systems, including conveyors, sortation units, and ASRS, to minimize downtime. Perform high-level troubleshooting on PLCs, VFDs, and servo-driven systems to maintain peak equipment performance. Lead root cause analysis initiatives to identify and eliminate recurring mechanical or electrical failures. Optimize predictive and preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifecycle of critical industrial assets. Interpret intricate electrical schematics to resolve integration issues and support system upgrades. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and system modifications within the CMMS platform. Provide technical guidance and training to team members to elevate the collective skill set of the department. Qualifications Required Skills 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining automated industrial environments. Advanced proficiency in PLC diagnostics, servo systems, and industrial networking protocols. Expertise in high-voltage electrical systems and mechanical troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects and mentor technical staff. Strong commitment to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant technical training. Preferred Skills Formal certification in industrial electronics or automation technology.
