Overview Join our dynamic team as a 12 Volt Electronics Technician, where you'll play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and installing advanced electrical systems in a variety of vehicles. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair 12-volt electrical systems across a wide range of vehicles, including GM models and diesel engines. Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot electrical issues. Install and calibrate ADAS features such as lane departure warning, collision avoidance systems, and parking assist. Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and software to identify faults in vehicle systems like powertrains, transmissions, suspension systems, and vehicle communication networks. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to electrical components, including wiring repairs, sensor replacements, and system upgrades. Conduct vehicle system tests using specialized automotive diagnostic equipment to ensure proper operation after repairs or installations. Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of automotive repair quality and customer satisfaction while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Dealership experience or service technician background highly preferred, with a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems. Proven ability to read and interpret automotive schematics and wiring diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and software for troubleshooting complex electrical issues. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle components such as powertrains, transmissions, suspension systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Familiarity with automotive service processes including auto estimating, vehicle alignment, transmission repair, diesel engine repair, and overall automotive repair. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for electrical system installation and repair tasks. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Prior experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not mandatory.
