Job Description

  • Job Title: Electronics Technician
  • Job Description
  • This bench-level Electronics Technician role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying a variety of moderate to complex electronics and avionics equipment.

You work on products returned from airlines, dealers, airframes, and end users, following established workmanship and quality standards. The position involves component-level troubleshooting and repair of circuit card assemblies under close or general supervision, depending on experience and labor grade.

  • Responsibilities
  • + Perform bench-level testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of moderate to complex electronics and avionics equipment.

+ Diagnose and resolve issues at the component level, including transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other electrical components.

+ Repair and rework circuit card assemblies in accordance with established workmanship and quality standards.

+ Follow documented operating procedures and understand the purpose behind each process and requirement.

+ Conduct functional tests to verify proper operation of repaired and modified equipment.

+ Use appropriate tools and test equipment to analyze circuitry and identify faults.

+ Apply soldering skills to assemble, repair, and rework electronic and avionics components and circuit boards.

+ Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working on equipment returned from airlines, dealers, airframes, and end users.

+ Work under close or general supervision, depending on experience level, and seek guidance when needed to ensure quality and safety.

+ Document work performed in accordance with facility standards and support continuous adherence to workmanship and quality expectations.

  • Essential Skills
  • + At least 2 years of experience as a bench technician working with electronics or avionics equipment.

+ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with soldering electronic components and circuit boards.

+ At least 2 years of experience working with electrical components and circuitry.

+ Basic understanding of avionics systems and associated circuitry and components, with at least 6 months of exposure.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Experience working with avionics equipment from major manufacturers such as Honeywell. + Familiarity with repair processes for equipment used by airlines, dealers, airframes, and other end users. + Comfort working under close or general supervision and adapting to established workflows.

  • Work Environment
  • This role is based in a dedicated repair facility where you work at an individual workstation to complete testing, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.

The setting is structured and process-driven, with established operating procedures and workmanship standards guiding daily work. You primarily perform seated bench work using standard electronics tools and test equipment. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans or pants and short-sleeve shirts; shorts are not permitted.

  • The pay range for this position is $23.

00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
