ELECTRONICS MECHANIC-TITLE

32, WG-2604-11, you will perform functional tests, analyze performance and malfunctions, remove, install, test, maintains, modify, perform alignments and troubleshoot the electronic, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic assemblies, modules, and interconnecting cables of a variety of comb and tactical equipment. Use a variety of equipment for fault isolion, verificion, or adjustment of assemblies and modules. Perform Automic Test Equipment (ATE) operions for fault isolion on LLM electronic modules, circuit cards, and assemblies to component level. Replace faulty components on UUT printed circuit boards and power distribution systems. Utilize oscilloscopes, signal generors, digital multi-meters, and other test equipment to loce, diagnose, and repair malfunctions. Troubleshoot carrier electrical and power distributions systems of the equipment being repaired. Isole faulty assemblies, cables, wiring harnesses and modules to component level for repair or replacement. Install equipment modificions to system per technical work orders. Perform initial and final checks and may perform inspections when required of designed systems. May act as quality assurance/control inspector for other mechanics' work. Determine deficiencies in troubleshooting procedures for the equipment being repaired and makes recommendions for corrective action to technical manuals. Perform field and limited sustainment maintenance to include installion, routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul of fixed and mobile operional communicion and electronics systems. Remove and replace defective electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. Conduct inspections, diagnose nure and extent of equipment malfunction. Determine whether equipment may be economically repaired or declared unserviceable, and perform required maintenance to restore to a serviceable condition various types of tactical computers, radio sets, and similar items. Repair or salvage defective components. Isole and diagnose cause of circuit/component malfunction using signal string lists, schemics, standard, special, and electronic Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) or repair equipment. Perform administrive functions in establishing and maintaining maintenance records on equipment maintained or repaired. Assist in the preparion of requests for required repair parts. May conduct or be involved in a Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Team (MAIT) or act as an inspector on a Command Maintenance Evaluion Team (COMET) on electronic, automion, communicion, and equipment. RANK REQUIREMENT

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

You must maintain membership in the Kentucky Nional Guard. You must be assigned to a compible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

Experience with electrical or electronic theory, knowledge of common testing procedures, skill in the use of hand tools of the electronics trade, and skill in reading schemics.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Must have least 18 months experience utilizing principles, basic functions and applicion of theory of electronic systems or equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems. Experience making mechanical repairs th required the use of precision measuring and calibring equipment. Experience in using complex test equipment such as deviion meters, complex special test panels, etc. Experience which demonstres the ability to interpret technical manuals, specificions, and publicions.
