Job Summary We're seeking a skilled and experienced Fiber Splicer to be part of our dynamic team. As a Fiber Splicer at Vancomm, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and improving critical telecommunications infrastructure. If you have prior experience in fiber splicing, are skilled in troubleshooting, and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Splice, terminate, and maintain fiber optic systems to ensure efficient connectivity Operate specialized equipment such as splicing tools and bucket trucks for aerial work Conduct testing with tools like OTDR , power meters , and voltmeters to guarantee optimal fiber performance Assist with heavy equipment operations as needed Collaborate with teams to manage and maintain telecommunications infrastructure , including telephone and cable systems Ensure the highest level of safety and quality in all tasks Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in fiber splicing and termination (previous experience is a must) Proficiency in low-voltage systems and telecommunications infrastructure Experience with bucket trucks for aerial fiber work Familiarity with fiber types like ribbon and loose-tube Strong troubleshooting skills and a keen eye for detail Comfortable working independently, but also enjoy being part of a team

Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay :

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Performance-Based Production Bonus :

Physical Setting & Schedule Work Environment :

Primarily construction sites and outdoor settings

Schedule :
