Work involves most of the following: examining mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble, dismantling or partly dismantling part assemblies and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools. Responsibilities include replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock. Duties also include preparing written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered, reassembling assemblies and making all necessary adjustments for operation. In general, the work of a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. Travel to customer locations as required. Basic Qualifications Ability to diagnose, repair and reassemble parts and assemblies and install into factory locations Experience with diesel engines Ability to use Tech Manuals Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches and other calibrated items Intermediate computer skills Ability to travel as required to support customer requirements Desired Skills SAP experience MS Office skills ASE Certified mechanic Army Maintenance Manuals Experience with military vehicles and equipment Pay Information This position is covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) with an hourly wage of no less than $35.50 per hour.
