Position Summary Parish Controls is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support electrical installations, industrial control-panel fabrication, and field instrumentation services. This position will work in both our panel shop and at customer facilities throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, industrial controls, and instrumentation. Experience installing Tesla or other commercial EV charging equipment is preferred. Primary Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, and commission Tesla and other commercial EV charging systems. Install conduit, conductors, disconnects, circuit breakers, grounding systems, and related electrical equipment. Build and wire industrial control panels according to approved drawings and applicable standards. Install and terminate PLC I/O, relays, power supplies, terminal blocks, network equipment, and other control components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, loop drawings, and manufacturer documentation. Install, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical instruments. Perform loop checks, functional testing, and startup support. Troubleshoot electrical, control, and instrumentation problems in the shop and in the field. Accurately document calibration results, test results, redlines, and completed work. Maintain tools, test equipment, company vehicles, and assigned materials. Follow Parish Controls' safety procedures and all applicable electrical codes, customer requirements, and industry standards. Travel to customer sites as required. Some overnight travel may be necessary. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant electrical, instrumentation, industrial maintenance, or controls experience. Ability to read electrical schematics and use electrical test equipment safely. Basic understanding of AC and DC electrical systems. Ability to use multimeters, process calibrators, pressure sources, and other instrumentation test equipment. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform precise, high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record acceptable under the company's insurance requirements. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with customer-required testing programs. Ability to pass customer background checks and site-access requirements when applicable. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors, at heights, and in industrial environments. Preferred Qualifications Journeyman electrician license or equivalent electrical credentials. Experience installing Tesla Wall Connectors, Universal Wall Connectors, Superchargers, or other commercial EV charging equipment. Experience building industrial control panels in a UL 508A panel shop. Experience with PLC systems, industrial networks, motor controls, VFDs, and 24 VDC control circuits. Experience calibrating pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, flowmeters, level instruments, switches, and control valves. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and industrial safety practices. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. ISA, NCCER, NICET, or manufacturer-specific certifications. Work Environment This position includes a combination of panel-shop work, commercial electrical installation, and work at industrial customer facilities. The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather, construction environments, operating industrial equipment, elevated work areas, and travel requirements.
