Electro-Mechanical Technician Pay Rate:
$40-$42/hour

7:00 AM-3:00 PM; some flexibility may be available Job Summary A manufacturing facility in the Franklin, MA area is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment. This position will help keep manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently by addressing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with equipment improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems and be comfortable troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment. Diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime. Troubleshoot motors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, and automated equipment. Work with PLC-controlled machinery and assist with equipment troubleshooting. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation. Use multimeters and other diagnostic equipment to test and troubleshoot electrical systems. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning. Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements. Work closely with production and engineering personnel to identify and resolve equipment issues. Respond to equipment breakdowns and provide timely maintenance support. Qualifications Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Experience troubleshooting automated or PLC-controlled equipment preferred. Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team. Good communication, organization, and documentation skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work around manufacturing equipment for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Ability to work from ladders and in confined or hard-to-reach areas when required. Schedule & On-Call Requirements Full-time, first-shift position, generally 7:00 AM-3:00 PM . Some schedule flexibility may be available. The position participates in an on-call rotation to provide maintenance support for overnight equipment issues. Additional compensation is available for scheduled on-call coverage; details will be discussed during the interview. Occasional overtime, weekends, or schedule adjustments may be required based on production needs.
