Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Repair Technician is competent in all duties and responsibilities for repair and refurbishing of instruments, able to evaluate damaged merchandise to determine cost effectiveness of the repair according to established quality and time guidelines. The Advanced Repair Technician also assists the Senior Repair Technicians with shop check, playing, inspecting, and adjustment of instruments prior to shipment to customers and upon return to ensure proper function, playability, and cosmetics. This position will play an integral role in the development process and training of other Repair Technicians.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management. Successfully fulfills duties and responsibilities with general supervision Assists Senior Repair Technicians with receiving inbound calls from customers inquiring about merchandise, adjustments, and modifications of instruments Assists Senior Repair Technicians in training staff on repairs; contributes to the team as needed Conducts performance tests on instruments to evaluate their sound quality and to locate defects Disassembles/reassembles instruments and parts for repair and adjustment Inspects, repairs, and adjusts returned instruments prior to re-stock Repairs and reconditions used and trade-in instruments as required Grades instruments appropriately for used inventory Polishes instruments using rags and polishing compounds, buffing wheels, or burnishing tools Maintains accurate records for production reporting Meets production goals as determined by the department manager Other duties as assigned To join our band, you'll need the following experience:POSITION SUMMARY
