Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring for a contract-to-hire opportunity with an innovative engineering and manufacturing company. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their hands-on technical skills in a collaborative and development-focused environment. The Engineering Technician will support engineering teams through equipment assembly, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and prototype development activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment while completing required documentation Assemble electro-mechanical prototype equipment, including wire and fluidic/pneumatic routings, following engineering documentation and instructions Support planned and unplanned maintenance and repair activities in accordance with calibration requirements and preventative maintenance schedules Perform light to heavy equipment assembly, ranging from simple to complex builds under engineering guidance Operate and maintain low-complexity machine shop tools and equipment Assist with new equipment installation and qualification activities Conduct verification testing following engineering test plans and procedures Provide hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving support within development engineering Assist Development Engineers with revisions and improvements to build and test procedures Perform low to moderate complexity technical tasks with oversight and guidance as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma required; trade school or technical training in a related discipline is a plus 0-5 years of experience in a similar technical, manufacturing, or development environment preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with Development Engineers Experience using Microsoft Office tools preferred Hands-on experience using basic hand tools and test equipment Ability to lift, move, and assemble equipment as required Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Working Environment:
Primarily works in an office and engineering lab environment May occasionally be required to work outside of the typical office setting Occasional travel may be required
